Title:Private Virtual Network
Description: But what we're now doing is giving our partners tunnel software that allows them to traverse the internet connected through our firewall to a special site we created for our partners so that we can all work together as a virtual organization. This kind of technology is changing Digital forever. There is a whole group of staff functions that are no longer in our company. Particularly the creative and artistic world. Our actual websites many of them are done by outside partners, and we communicate with them through a private virtual network shared over the internet. What this means is the internet becomes the infrastructure for a small business. Which allows them to service a company the size of Digital on a global basis. It's changing everything.

Title:That's the Site in My Bedroom
Description: I think most of you know Alta Vista, most of you use have it. The reason I throw in Alta Vista, is because of a meeting we had down in our [WWW5 Conference] booth. Boris are you in the audience? I have a consultant who actually works for a university in Sweden who showed up in our booth yesterday. We checked Alta Vista - we typed in his name , he's from Czechoslovakia, I'm sorry Boris I not going to try to pronounce your last name because I know I won't do it justice, and three sites came up with his name on it and he looked very shocked at one of them - and he said "I was expecting the first two", [Steve said], "Well what are they?", [Boris replied], "Well that's my university site [pointing], and I was expecting you to find that, and that [pointing] is my consultantcy [sic] site, and I was expecting you to find that one, but that's the site in my bedroom [audience laughs]. The point is - as a small business you can be found anywhere, even in your bedroom.
